How does this differ from Keyscape or other piano VSTs.you have to play those and know how to play piano. This is the same for piano and bass, etc. The jazz midi bundle is no drums, just midi but a deeper library. So the Jazz kit is a couple jazz drum kits recorded professionally and a small midi bundle. So what are the expansions? Two thing: Drum recordings and midi bundles. The drum builder is pretty powerful on the EZDrummer. (Note if the cymbal is already being hit, it won't double hit it just like a real drum kit). Want an opening cymbal hit for that block? Okay. Want more snare beats? Just turn the dial and the drummer will be more active on the snare. You can edit each block in terms of how "active" each part of the drum kit is. Just fine midi beats you like and line them up. The drums work exactly the same way but you don't layout chords. After that, I just drag the midi out of the song creator and onto its own midi track with sometimes like Noire Piano and call it a day. Now throw one of the many blues or jazz midi's on it, and it sounds like a pro just walked in a recorded your chord progression. So, say you have G, Em, Am, D7 chord progression. What makes EZKeys shine and ALL the Tunetrack software shine is the song writer, for lack of a better term.įor EZKeys, you simply add a bunch of chord blocks, select the chord for each block (you can get really in-depth with chord creation), then drag a midi loop onto your block(s) and it'll play it to your chord progression. For me.I didn't buy EZKeys for the piano sounds.
Now for the other questions about the bass and piano.
I have seen the SDX expansions on sale though. Just in the two years I've used Toontracks, I've not seen it go on sale. I've not seen and SDX discount, but I'm not saying it doesn't happen. For drums, I kinda understand it with more velocities and an actual raw output for your own mixing purposes instead of pre-compressed and eq'd tracks along with more mic's etc. Alrighty, so.can't really comment if they'll ever make a Superior Bass or Superior Keys or why they'd need to.
